Outdoor 2023
Venturing into the wilderness for several days and/or discovering the world on foot is the spirit of trekking.
To leave with peace of mind, so that you can disconnect, it is of course necessary to be well equipped. Forclaz designs sustainable trekking and travel products, with the lowest possible environmental impact. The brand's objective is to accompany trekkers over long-distance treks providing them with the certainty that their equipment will resist!
Forclaz helps them to experience committed adventures, minimising the impact to the environment.
Trekking tarp tent MT900 - undyed
An undyed and ultra technical tarp tent!
Launched in 2022, the undyed range from Forclaz unveils its latest product: the MT900 trekking tarp tent.
When technicality and reduced environmental impact come together to accompany trekkers on their adventures.
Undyed. What is it?
After detailed modeling of the CO2 impact of each product, the design team identified dyeing as one of the most impactful steps in the life cycle of a product. It was therefore eliminated, giving rise to the undyed range. True to the promises of this range: the trekking tent is compact, light and undyed, designed with the aim of reducing its CO2 impact, without technical compromise.
Thanks to the absence of dye and to the eco-design actions implemented, the tarp tent benefits from an equivalent CO2 weight of 38.4 kg CO2 eq for the two-person model and 27.6 kg CO2 eq for the single-person model, i.e. a reduction in impact of 18% compared to an equivalent model.
No compromise on technicality: a light and compact product
A good trekking product is easy to carry and pack into a backpack. This hybrid model, between a tent and a tarp, is light and compact, without compromising on its durability. To make it easier to carry, all the elements can be separated and divided between the trekkers. The tarp version requires the use of two trekking poles as a supporting structure. By doing away with the tent poles, the trekker gains on weight (930g for the single person model and 1.3kg for the double person model).
Model 1 person (available beginning of June)
Model 2 persons (available beginning of June)
Undyed gives a real identity to eco-designed products and allows creating a strong link between the user and his product. Thus, undyed bivvy gear may get dirty more quickly, but they will only be coloured by the previous adventures!
A way to give life to your products, while supporting initiatives that have less impact on the environment.
MT900 Symbium backpack: Tested hard, designed to last
Strong and comfortable, the MT900 Symbium follows trekkers everywhere!
The MT900 is the most durable Forclaz backpack.
At Forclaz, durability is a prerequisite, which is why this backpack was designed to withstand all adventures. The MT900 Symbium backpack underwent 188 lab tests and was field test proven for over 280 hours.
Durability includes resistance over time, but also the timelessness of the design and colours used.
The MT900 Symbium backpack is very resistant, but it won't last forever. That's why Forclaz engineers developed a set of spare parts to extend its life: straps, belt, foam, buckles, elastics and cover, designed to be changed easily with no special tools.
These repair solutions focus mainly on the carrying system, in order to ensure safety and comfort for the trekker.

Designing sustainable products is the first pillar of our thinking. It is our design team’s dream that each Forclaz product is so sustainable that it can be passed down from generation to generation.
MT900 men’s pants
These pants, designed for intensive trekking in all seasons, were improved following feedback from users.
Resistance and durability for the MT900 men
Its reinforced fabric on the knees and buttocks, the main areas of friction in trekking, make the MT900 men's pants long-lasting in accordance with Forclaz’s commitments. The use of recycled polyamide and less impactful components has reduced its CO2 weight to 27.05kg CO2 eq, i.e. a 15% reduction compared to the previous version.
How technical can a pair of pants be?
Water repellent and wind resistant, these pants are more technical than they appear! Pre-shaped knees, stretch fabric for freedom of movement and side zips for trekking in hot weather. Trekkers can therefore set off on the trails in all seasons.
available from sizes 38 to 52 in 2 colours (grey and black / brown and black) (soon available on decathlon.co.uk)
MT500 Vibram® hiking boot
Having the right trek footwear is essential. This new version of the MT500 boots, with a Vibram sole allows trekkers to go further.
Leather boots to accompany you over a long period
Trekkers appreciate 100% leather boots because they last for many, many miles when properly cared for. The MT500 Vibrams are comfortable, thanks to leather (80% full grain leather, 20% split leather) which adapts to the shape of the foot over time.
Durable grip thanks to the Vibram® sole
A good sole is a must for a trekking boot. The Forclaz team worked closely with the Vibram® label to develop the best possible sole by optimising the ratio of grip and durability of the sole. Height, distribution and number of lugs all play a role in the sole's grip.
Women (36 to 42) (available mid-April)
Men (40 to 48) (available beginning of June)
Women's trekking & backpacking leggings
For trekking comfortably, the dream of many women trekkers.
These trek leggings achieved to combine resistance and soupleness
The challenge taken up by Harmonie, travel product manager, and her project group was to create leggings that are as resistant as trekking trousers while still offering the lines of yoga leggings. They are therefore reinforced at the knees and buttocks, dry quickly and are super comfortable.
Leggings that travellers can go everywhere with
Visiting museums, public transport, walking in the city or on long trails, the objective of these leggings is to follow backpackers everywhere during their travels. To make sure they are able to carry everything and have their hands free too, they are equipped with 4 zipped pockets, including one hidden in the waistband.
