Almost three years to the day ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Decathlon has become an Official Partner. From now on, the French brand will be contributing its expertise for the benefit of the biggest sporting event in the world, as well as kitting out some 45,000 volunteers, the indispensable games makers of the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics.
Decathlon: at the heart of everyday sport in France
Paris 2024 and Decathlon share the same ambition: to make the Paris 2024 Games a festive, well-attended and unifying event to help promote sport and fitness for everyone in France.
For the last 45 years, Decathlon has been partnering sportspeople in over 70 countries. There are 97,000 enthusiastic employees working daily to make sport accessible to everyone. The brand sells a huge range of innovative products and services that have seen it become the go-to name for sport in French households..
Decathlon hopes to use this partnership to share its values with the many - values of sport, vitality, respect, caring and excelling oneself - and to convey these to the next generations. The Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics offer a unique opportunity where everyone can experience, imagine and revel in the full range of emotions encapsulated in sport.

Comprehensive support for volunteers
The 45,000 volunteers for the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics will be kitted out with a set of eco-designed products, specially created for the occasion by Decathlon teams.

Local actions to get french people involved
With its local foothold and 330 stores across France, Decathlon will be offering a number of Paris 2024 themed events. This project will see sporting challenges, events and initiatives aimed at a target audience of all ages, in all four corners of the country, and particularly in the host communities and the 1,800-odd “Terre de Jeux 2024” communities and organisations..

Selling brand new products
Decathlon will be selling Paris 2024 branded products. The first batch will go on sale at decathlon.fr in the coming months.

The aim of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee, in accordance with the host city agreement signed by the IOC (International Olympic Committee), the CNOSF (French National Olympic and Sports Committee) and the City of Paris, is to plan, organise, finance and deliver the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024.
The Olympic and Paralympic Games are the world’s premier sports event with an incomparable media impact. They will bring together 10,500 Olympic and 4,350 Paralympic athletes, drawn from 206 and 182 delegations respectively, from across all continents. Created in January 2018, Paris 2024 is chaired by Tony Estanguet, triple Olympic champion and IOC member. It is administered by a board of directors that brings together the project’s founding members: the CNOSF, the City of Paris, the State, the Île-de-France region, the French Paralympic and Sports Committee, the Seine Saint-Denis department Council and representatives of local authorities involved in the Games.
